2025 Artist in Residence: Keegan Braun
saint benedict’s table is a community that values active participation in the arts. We seek to engage with the arts in a variety of ways, including in our weekly worship, special events such as art exhibits and concerts, as well as in the support of an artist residency and of the production of new works of art created by members of our community.
Our 2025 call for artist-in-residence (AIR) applications asked makers to help us articulate the grounding, prayerful routine of Ordinary Time, even in the midst of turbulent days we seem to be living through.
One response came from Keegan Braun, a contemporary theologian who has often explored questions about the ordinary, along with ideas of play, faith and the embodiment of theology through his wonderings and his writings. For the 2025 AIR he gifted the community two creative essays to the dialogue exploring the themes of Ordinary Time through the multi-disciplinary lenses of theology, philosophy, social science, and more.
